General Data Protection Regulation (AVG)
As of 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) is applicable. The AVG replaces the Personal Data Protection Act (Wbp). The introduction of the AVG means that from 25 May 2018, the same privacy legislation will apply throughout the European Union.
The AVG aims to ensure the protection of personal data and sets out how organisations should handle personal data.
What is personal data?
Personal data includes any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. This information must be able to directly or indirectly (by means of inference) lead to the identification of a natural person.
The AVG divides personal data into two groups:
Ordinary personal data:
- Name
- Address
- Postal code
- City
- BSN number
- E-mail address
- License plate data
- IP address
Special personal data:
- Race
- Religion
- Sexual life
- Political opinion
- Health
- Trade union membership
- Criminal behaviour
- Genetic data
- Biometric data
KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES will never ask you for special personal data and therefore does not process special personal data.
What is meant by processing personal data?
According to Article 4(2) of the AVG, processing personal data is: Any operation or set of operations involving personal data or a set of personal data, whether or not carried out through automated procedures, such as collection, recording, organisation etc. The concept of processing is very broad and encompasses all operations from data collection to data destruction.
How does KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES collect personal data?
KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES never collects personal data without your consent.
KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES obtains your data by leaving information in forms, placing cookies or through direct contact with you.
In accordance with the AVG, KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES only records relevant data, including how this data was obtained and how you gave your consent for Knisper | Audus Technologies to record your data.
KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES never provides your data to third parties unless you have given your explicit consent or unless the law requires KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES to do so.
Cookies
The website of KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES makes use of cookies. A cookie is a small file stored on your hard disk by a server and only recognised by the server that stores the cookie.
Three types of cookies can be distinguished:
- Functional cookies: these are cookies that are necessary to make a website function better. An example of a functional cookie is a cookie that remembers what was put in the shopping basket.

For what purpose does KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES collect personal data?
- KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES collects and stores information from relationships in order to maintain the relationships.
- KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES collects and stores information from intended relationships in order to serve them in requests that may lead to the establishment of a relationship.
- KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES thus uses your data to actively maintain the relationship and to fulfil your requests. Furthermore, the data is used to send you appropriate information.
Consent and objection
In accordance with the rules laid down in the AVG, KNISPER | AUDUS TECHNOLOGIES only stores relevant and authorised information, for the duration necessary and with your granted consent.
